Job Type: Full-time | On-site
Shift + Hours: 4 days on / 4 days off rotating shift (2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts, 12‑hour shifts, approx. 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am)
Salary Range: Competitive salary + shift allowance + comprehensive benefits package
How You’ll Make An Impact
As an Automotive Technician at our state‑of‑the‑art Mechanical and Engine Testing Facility in Hazelwood, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high‑quality, and cost‑effective testing that supports the development and validation of advanced fuel and lubricant additive technologies for the automotive industry.
- Conduct and monitor fired engine, driveline, and industrial tests in line with defined procedures
- Operate test control systems to monitor data and adjust operating parameters as required
- Build, install, de‑rig, and strip engines, gearboxes, axles, and other mechanical test components
- Initiate and support repairs to test installations to ensure continuous operation
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support implementation of enhancements
- Promote and comply with all Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) policies and procedures
Required Qualifications That Enable Your Success
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification (or equivalent) with proven relevant experience
- Proven hands‑on experience with automotive fault‑finding techniques
- Experience with engine strip‑down, repair, or rebuild activities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- PC literacy, including use of standard office and data systems
- Flexibility and willingness to work rotating day and night shifts in a 24/7 operation

- Previous experience working in an engine test cell, mechanical testing, or laboratory environment
- Prior experience in a shift‑based operational role
