About the Team
Our tax team currently have 35 staff from trainees to partner level. The team look after tax affairs of the firm's private and corporate clients, covering all aspects of the UK tax system. The work is varied and challenging, including compliance matters such as tax return preparation, and advisory projects.
Job Description
The role is mixed between personal tax compliance and personal tax advisory work.
- You will be the client manager to a diverse portfolio of clients, mostly with an international flavour to their affairs, including: HNW individuals, FIG users, trust settlors and beneficiaries.
- You will be responsible for overseeing the tax compliance services on your client portfolio, from ensuring the information is received on time, reviewing the tax return prepared by a trainee, liaising with the client as necessary, submission to HMRC, and management of WIP/Billing.
- You will be involved in providing advisory work to your client portfolio and other clients, this will be varied and challenging, and you will work under the guidance of directors and partners to deliver exceptional client results.
- You will have the opportunity to develop within an established private client tax team with a strong client base.
- You will be involved with business development and marketing opportunities.
The successful candidate is someone who is a qualified accountant who has trained in audit and developed a passion for technology and operational workflow improvement, be a great communicator and team player with a results-oriented work ethos
We would love to hear from you if you have
- An ATT qualification and a minimum of three years' post-qualification experience within a UK professional services firm
- Good experience working with international private clients on advisory matters
- Excellent IT skills, ideally including a good working knowledge of Digita
- The ability to support the firm's marketing initiatives, including identifying opportunities, writing tax articles and preparing technical updates
- The ability to identify planning opportunities for existing and prospective clients
- The ability to provide internal tax technical support to partners, tax team members and other colleagues
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service
