Our client is a leading service-based organisation operating across the UK and internationally, seeking a Finance Manager to oversee accounts receivable and revenue reconciliation within a busy finance function. The Finance Manager role will focus on income reconciliation, management accounts support and process improvement, while leading a small team of Assistant Accountants and ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong financial controls.
Key responsibilities:
- Support preparation of monthly management accounts
- Manage and support a team of Assistant Accountants
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations including accruals and prepayments
- Conduct weekly bank reconciliations and prepare VAT returns
- Drive process improvements and automation across finance processes
- Act as a key link between finance and client-facing teams
- Support financial analysis and reporting for senior stakeholders
Qualification, skills and experience required:
- ACCA / CIMA qualified or qualified by experience
- 5+ years’ management accounting experience
- Strong experience with income reconciliation and large datasets
- Excel skills to include Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS
- Experience leading or mentoring finance staff
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with senior stakeholders
