Our client, an established UK-based manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Buyer & Stock Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a key role focused on managing inventory levels, sourcing components for production, and developing supplier relationships to ensure the best price, quality, and delivery performance. Key responsibilities as the Buyer & Stock Controller: * Manage stock levels and place purchase orders in line with production needs * Monitor supplier performance and chase outstanding orders * Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers * Maintain accurate records in the ERP system and support regular stocktakes * Collaborate with internal teams across production, sales, and accounts * Resolve delivery discrepancies and manage warranty or supply issues Key requirements required as the Buyer & Stock Controller: * Experience in a Buyer or procurement role within a manufacturing environment * Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills * Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) * High attention to detail and strong organisational skills * Knowledge of ISO9001, engineering products, or import logistics is a plus This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable and growing organisation where your expertise as the Buyer & Stock Controller will directly support operational success.
