We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Business Analyst with strong core BA skills and hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / Demandware). The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to deliver high-quality ecommerce solutions across web and mobile platforms. This role requires deep understanding of ecommerce concepts, SFCC Business Manager, storefront capabilities, and agile delivery practices, along with the ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end requirement gathering through workshops, stakeholder interviews, and document analysis.
- Refine and analyze requirements to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to understand requirements from a business and customer perspective.
- Convert business requirements into clear, well-defined user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Conduct backlog grooming/refinement sessions with Product Owner and Development teams.
- Act as the primary point of clarification for development and QA teams throughout the sprint lifecycle.
- Support sprint execution by answering functional queries and resolving requirement-related ambiguities.
- Demonstrate sprint deliverables to Product Owner and stakeholders during sprint reviews.
- Obtain formal acceptance and closure of completed user stories.
- Ensure traceability between business requirements, user stories, and delivered functionality.
Ecommerce Domain Expertise:
- Apply strong ecommerce domain knowledge to solution design and requirement definition.
- Demonstrate understanding of core ecommerce concepts such as product catalogs, categories, pricing, promotions, cart, checkout, payment, shipping, taxation, order management, returns, and customer accounts.
- Understand website and mobile commerce platforms, including responsive design and viewports.
- Work with data layers to support analytics, tracking, and personalization use cases.
- Possess a foundational understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and their impact on ecommerce UX.
Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / Demandware):
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Commerce Cloud architecture and concepts.
- Hands-on experience with SFCC Business Manager, including catalogs and products, price books and promotions, content assets and pages, customer and order management, site preferences and configuration.
- Collaborate with technical teams on storefront features and backend configurations.
- Understand and support third-party integrations with SFCC, such as tax and shipping providers, analytics, personalization, and marketing tools, ERP, OMS, and CRM integrations.
- Assist in impact analysis and requirement definition for SFCC upgrades, enhancements, and releases.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in ecommerce projects.
- Hands-on experience working with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / Demandware).
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Technical & Functional Skills:
- Familiarity with ecommerce analytics, tagging, and data layers.
- Ability to work closely with developers, QA, UX, and product teams.
- Experience supporting web and mobile commerce platforms.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with global ecommerce implementations.
- Knowledge of headless commerce or API-driven architectures.
- Exposure to Salesforce ecosystem (CRM, Marketing Cloud, Order Management).
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
