The SAP Datasphere Senior Consultant is a design‑led specialist responsible for information architecture, data modelling and performance‑optimised solution design for enterprise analytics and planning scenarios. The role focuses on reviewing, designing and optimising Datasphere models that underpin SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) analytics and planning use cases, ensuring scalability, performance and long‑term maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and review end‑to‑end information architecture within SAP Datasphere
  • Define semantic models, conformed dimensions, hierarchies and KPI consistency
  • Ensure reusable, scalable data models aligned to enterprise analytics strategy
  • Design and review Datasphere artefacts including Spaces, Data Flows, Views and Analytic Models
  • Apply best‑practice modelling patterns for SAC Analytics and Planning consumption
  • Determine optimal pushdown of logic between Datasphere and SAC
  • Performance and scalability optimisation
  • Review and optimise runtime performance and memory consumption
  • Identify bottlenecks impacting SAC story execution
  • Design for high data volumes and future regional rollouts
  • Support target execution times (e.g., sub‑5‑second analytics)
  • Conduct design and architecture reviews of existing Datasphere solutions
  • Provide clear actionable optimisation and remediation recommendations
  • Act as design authority and advisor to delivery teams and stakeholders

Required Skills / Experience

  • Rich experience in SAP analytics, BI or data platforms
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP Datasphere or strong SAP HANA BW background
  • Strong expertise in data modelling and information architecture
  • Solid understanding of SAP HANA performance and memory concepts
  • Experience supporting SAP Analytics Cloud consumption
  • SAP Datasphere or SAP Analytics certifications
  • Experience in large‑scale or multi‑country analytics rollouts
