Role Overview:
We are looking for experienced Quality Engineers with strong expertise in OTT and streaming technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing across multiple OTT devices and platforms with solid troubleshooting skills and proficiency in debugging tools such as Charles Proxy or Fiddler.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain comprehensive test cases, traceability matrices and identify functional, non-functional and edge scenarios.
- Perform device-level validation for OTT platforms including video playback, adaptive bitrate (ABR) and streaming workflows.
- Utilize network analysis tools (Charles Proxy, Fiddler) for traffic inspection, throttling and troubleshooting content quality and ad validation.
- Conduct streaming tests on Web, Android, iOS tablets, Roku, Smart TVs, consoles and STBs ensuring compatibility across OS versions.
- Execute and enhance automation scripts for regression testing, extending base scripts as needed.
- Validate API services using Postman and interpret HTTP error codes for backend integration.
- Collaborate with development, QA and product teams to ensure high-quality releases and continuous improvement in SLAs, automation coverage and efficiency.
- Use tools like JIRA, TestRail and Confluence for test management and dashboard reporting.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of OTT ecosystems including CMS, CDN, DRM and backend systems.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy for the portfolio, aligning quality assurance initiatives with business goals and ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
- Effectively lead Scrum teams and demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement or management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers and business stakeholders to understand project requirements, identify automation opportunities, ensure proper test coverage and report on the progress, risks and outcomes of testing activities.
