Overview
In this role you design and evolve Java-based microservices in a cloud-native environment, focusing on performance, caching, and scalable asynchronous API delivery. You will drive the migration of TPS TradeEntry to OpenShift and optimize input channel configurations, while enhancing local caching and performance testing tooling. You collaborate across teams to ensure reliable, high-performance services and stay current with emerging Java, caching, and testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Java microservices and APIs in a cloud-native environment
- Oversee the migration and optimization of TPS TradeEntry services to OpenShift
- Implement and maintain local caching strategies for reference data in APIs and TradeEntry components
- Enhance performance testing tools and methodologies including tracing data enhancements
- Develop and maintain automated API test suites using RestAssured
- Plan, manage and execute performance testing activities including workload modeling
- Implement and support asynchronous API delivery mechanisms
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members within the JAVACLOUDNATIVE skill cluster
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure adherence to coding standards and security practices
