My Client is a very well established and successful M&E Contractor. Due to expanding workload, they require a Senior Engineer / Project Manager – ideally mechanically biased with a good understanding of electrical engineering services to manage large projects, including education and hospital projects, based from their North East office.
THE CANDIDATE & DUTIES
You will be a Senior / M&E Project Manager with substantial experience in project management. You should be able to write programmes, attend tender meetings, and lead teams of project managers and site managers. You need a good understanding of the complete project lifecycle, from programming to final commissioning and handover. Excellent client-facing skills are essential, including dealing with consultants, other contractors, and clients.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including commercial duties, planning, estimation, profit projections, procurement of materials, quality and risk assessments, and implementing and managing HSE policies on site. Responsibilities also include sub-contractor hiring, management, development, and training. Prior experience with multi-million-pound M&E services is required. A Degree in Building Services Engineering or a similar field is preferred. A PRINCE2 qualification may be beneficial but is not essential.
