Site Development Inspector

LTL Consultants, Ltd., has a full-time job opening in our Oley, PA office for a Site Development Inspector. LTL provides consulting engineering services to numerous municipalities in Berks, Carbon, Chester, and Montgomery Counties.

Responsibilities

• Perform site observations to determine compliance with approved plans and municipal requirements.
• Ensure acceptable work quality.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of inspections.
• Perform follow-up inspections.
• Confer with and assist property and landowners, architects, and builders.
• Respond to complaints from municipal officials, residents, and stakeholders regarding municipal codes and/or ordinances.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields.
• Experience must include storm sewers, utility installations, road construction, storm water management facilities, culverts, curbing, paving, sidewalks, walking trails, grading, and E & S controls.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
• Understand and interpret construction site plans.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to respond with professionalism to conflicts involving landowners, builders, developers, and municipalities.
• Valid PA Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.

Strong emphasis is placed on the ability to effectively communicate technical information, orally and in writing, in a professional manner to contractors, developers, property owners, employees, consultants, other governmental agency representatives, municipal officials, and the public. The position offers a desirable mix of office and fieldwork opportunities.
