10 plus years of project management experience.

The project manager will ensure that project work is delivered to scope, time, cost, and quality, and that project risks are managed in line with business targets. The focus will be delivering change within software applications projects.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for day-to-day delivery management, coordination, and control of assigned projects including development of the Project Definition Document (PDD) including scope, goals, and deliverables with support of business owners.
  • Responsible for scoping and creating Project Management Plans (PMP).
  • Responsible for leading all resources assigned to the project, setting clear objectives, and managing performance on a project basis.
  • Responsible for providing feedback on project performance to project boards as appropriate.
  • Accountable for accurate forecasting and reporting of key project information, updating any agreed project management reports and documentation.
  • Responsible for giving direction to and leading IT project managers who are providing specific IT deliverables into projects or programs.
  • Ensuring that robust financial management and commercial awareness form the foundation of all business decisions.
  • Coordination of project activity and inputs being done by multiple people across assigned projects.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of project implementation and cultural change.
  • Experience of delivering projects to time, scope, and cost.
  • Experience of managing resources in a project environment.
  • Experience of delivering change.
  • Ideally will have previous experience of project managing applications software projects.
  • APM, Prince 2 or holding equivalent project management qualification.
