A PLM Product Lifecycle Management Engineer plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the lifecycle of a product from its conception through design and manufacturing to service and disposal Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this role.
Responsibilities:
System Implementation and Management
Implement and manage PLM software solutions such as Windchill Teamcenter or Aras
Ensure the PLM system integrates effectively with other enterprise systems like ERP and CAD
Data Management
Manage engineering data and ensure accurate documentation throughout the product lifecycle
Oversee version control and release management for product data
Process Optimization
Identify and implement improvements in PLM processes to enhance productivity and efficiency
Develop and maintain best practices for PLM system usage
Support and Troubleshooting
Provide technical support to end users and resolve any issues related to the PLM system
Conduct regular system audits and updates to maintain optimal performance
Collaboration and Training
