Job Purpose
- To be responsible for individual targeted delivery against agreed strategic sales plans to support Company targets and drive revenue growth in line with the capabilities of LTi Vessco.
- To build and maintain strong customer relationships as well as developing new business relationships within our target sectors.
- To account manage key projects to facilitate the Customer’s interface with Project Engineering, ensuring that the Customer is made aware of key issues and kept up to date throughout the Production process.
- To seek to establish LTi Vessco as Preferred Suppliers where relevant.
- To promote the specialist talents, skills and capabilities that LTi Vessco offer, aligned to significant sales growth and long-term customer retention.
Key Accountabilities
- To deliver against agreed individual sales targets.
- To build and maintain strong relationships within our existing and potential customer base, understanding their needs and identifying opportunities where we might work together.
- For some customers, this will also involve a level of key account management to ensure that they are kept well informed and consulted as their project progresses as well as to provide an interface between customer and Engineering or Production as necessary.
- To contribute to monthly sales forecasts against a realistic pipeline, and to provide accurate data for the Senior Management teams.
- Work with the Sales and Marketing functions to monitor market trends, competitors and industry developments and together identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies in line with these.
- To work cross functionally to analyse and review project performance, delivery and available data once an order has been delivered to the customer, participating in the post job review and to contribute information to improve the sales process where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the Marketing function to support LTi Vessco ensuring the company is positioned correctly within the digital space and being aware that the Marketing strategy aligns with the Sales strategy and timings and that there is cohesion within the customer message.
- Working with Sales and Marketing, identify together relevant industry trade shows, conferences or networking events to promote LTi Vessco to develop sales leads and establish ongoing relationships.
- Ensure that accurate and relevant information is captured, regularly reviewed and maintained within the company CRM system.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies and best practices to ensure that LTi Vessco maintains a competitive position within the market.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures as well as our ethical and environmental standards.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience within a technical engineering sales role; preferably within a manufacturing or engineering organisation with pressure vessel experience being highly sought.
- Experience of sales within sectors such as Energy/Renewables, Chemicals, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Water is desirable.
- An appreciation or understanding of welding and fabrication techniques would be a bonus but is not essential.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- A solid understanding of sales techniques, strategies and customer relationship management.
- An ability to read sales analysis, market trends and customer feedback to inform strategic change.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or engineering would be beneficial, as would an MBA, but is not essential.
