Role Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will hold City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing and a valid ECS Gold Card. As an Electrician you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance services across commercial, industrial and site-based projects, including temporary power, distribution systems and generator installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, modification and repair works.
- Perform inspection & testing duties in accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and issue relevant certification.
- Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics and remedial works.
- Install and maintain distribution boards, containment systems, cabling and power systems.
- Work on temporary site electrics and generator power setups where required.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety regulations and RAMS.
- Complete job reports, test certificates and documentation accurately.
- Liaise professionally with site managers, clients and other trades.
Essential Requirements
- Valid ECS Gold Card.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Proven Electrician experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong understanding of BS 7671 and current UK electrical standards.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with temporary power systems and generators.
- IPAF / PASMA certification.
- SSSTS or similar site supervision training.
