Due to sustained growth, driven by strategic business advancements and future expansion plans, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer to work at sites across the UK.
The Role
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will take ownership of complex commissioning projects installing, testing, modifying, and troubleshooting power generation systems. You will be the technical expert on-site, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of new hardware, including power and control cabling
- Modification of existing power generation systems
- Fault diagnosis and rectification on generator control systems
- System testing
- Liaison with customers and other stakeholders
You
- Have a background in power generation
- Have extensive experience of commissioning PLC control systems
- Have good technical knowledge of gas and/or diesel generators
- Be familiar with the principles of emergency generator operation & synchronisation, including knowledge of G59 and G99
- Hold a valid CSCS or ECS Card
- Hold a full valid driving licence
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and can use their initiative. The ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues is essential, as is a willingness to get fully involved in installation work. You will need to be able to work under pressure and to be flexible and able to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
