We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Installation Engineer with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal supervision while contributing positively to a dynamic, busy team. This role involves both on-site installation work at customer premises and control panel wiring in our workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install electrical control panels to CAD drawings provided by in-house electrical designers.
  • Install mains, 24V DC and communication cables.
  • Install cable containment systems to support wiring.
  • Wire motors, sensors, and remote Input/Output (I/O) nodes.
  • Terminate field cables in control panels.
  • Install and configure AC servo drives and inverter motor controllers.
  • Ensure all work complies with current electrical safety regulations and best practices.
  • Work on-site at customer premises in the automotive, aerospace, and logistics industries.
  • Undertake weekend work and overnight stays as required.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture within all work environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and components.
  • Proven experience in wiring motors, sensors, I/O nodes, and control panels.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical CAD drawings.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and stay overnight when required.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to maintaining a safe working environment.
