About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation and Electrical Design engineer to join our engineering team. In this hands-on role, you will support the design and production of electrical and instrumentation documentation, working closely with Control Engineers to develop high-quality drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical. You will be instrumental in producing P&IDs, control panel GAs, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, hook-up drawings, Boolean logic schematics, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyse customer specifications and project documentation
- Create and revise drawings using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical, including:
- P&IDs
- Wiring diagrams
- Control panel GAs (Local and PLC panels)
- Loop and hook-up drawings
- Boolean logic diagrams
About You
- Qualification in Engineering (Electrical/Instrumentation preferred) or equivalent industry experience
- Proven experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, comprehensive electrical and control system drawings
- Experience with control panels, wiring layouts, and instrumentation design
- P&ID creation experience is highly desirable
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Self-motivated, assertive, and confident in your technical abilities
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirements
- Must hold a full, valid UK driving licence
- Willing to attend on-site workshops when required
