We are seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join a well-established and growing team, supporting a strong pipeline of projects across the Food & Beverage and Manufacturing sectors. This role will involve interpreting customer requirements, producing project specifications, and developing and implementing software for control systems solutions. You will be responsible for designing bespoke PLC code and intuitive HMI interfaces, primarily using Siemens and Allen-Bradley/Rockwell platforms. Experience with SQL and SCADA is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom PLC code from scratch, tailored to project requirements
  • Design user-friendly HMIs for seamless operator interaction
  • Interpret client documentation, such as User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
  • Support onsite commissioning and testing at project completion (max 20%)
  • Work collaboratively with the wider project team to deliver high-quality automation solutions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in control systems engineering or automation
  • Strong understanding of machine processes and line control
  • Be proficient programming PLC applications from scratch and with various platforms Siemens TIA Portal and/or Rockwell Studio 5000
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and installations
  • Desirable: SQL and SCADA experience
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
