Overview
Power Generation – Commissioning Engineer. We are a well-established and respected company specialising in power generation and emergency backup systems. Partnering with some of the UK\’s largest businesses, we deliver comprehensive power solutions alongside reliable, ongoing support. We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team and work on exciting projects across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Install new hardware, including power and control cabling
- Modify and upgrade existing power generation systems
- Diagnose and rectify faults in generator control systems
- Conduct system testing and commissioning activities
- Liaise with clients and project stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
About You
- Strong background in power generation
- Proven experience commissioning PLC control systems
- Solid technical knowledge of gas and/or diesel generators
- Understanding of emergency generator operation and synchronisation principles, including G59 and G99 standards
- Valid CSCS or ECS Card
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and a hands-on approach to work
- Able to thrive under pressure in a dynamic and fast-changing environment
