An experienced Quality Inspector is required to join a precision aerospace manufacturing environment supporting production and machining teams on the shop floor. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that only fully conforming components are supplied to customers by carrying out detailed inspection activities and maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspection of aerospace components to tight tolerances
- Ensure no non-conforming product is released to customers
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Select appropriate measurement techniques and equipment
- Programme and operate CNC CMM equipment (Aberlink preferred)
- Use optical measurement systems such as Keyence or shaft scanners
- Complete inspection activities including first-off, in-process and final inspection
- Produce inspection reports, PPAP and FAIR documentation
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support root cause investigations
- Maintain calibration records and support measurement system analysis (MSA)
Requirements
- Experience using manual and CNC CMM inspection equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience inspecting precision components
- Knowledge of working within an AS9100 / aerospace quality environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Experience with Aberlink offline programming
- Experience using optical measurement systems
