We’re on the hunt for an exceptional Senior Administrator to join our team! We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Hindley, working as a Senior Administrator. We are looking for someone who can confidently work across multiple platforms and software packages to support the team. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information: HMP Hindley is a Prison and Young Offender Institution (YOI) based in Bickershaw near Wigan, Greater Manchester. The resettlement prison has capacity for 600 young adults (18-25 years old) and adult males. The prison is committed to providing a safe and educational environment where its prisoners can learn new skills to help them on release.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain administrative systems and processes.
  • Work effectively with various digital tools and platforms including Microsoft and cloud-based applications.
  • Produce accurate data, documentation and reports.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and organisational policies.

You will need to have excellent organisational, time-management and communication skills with the ability to adapt to new platforms and processes.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold or be willing to gain qualifications at level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy within agreed timescales.
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 2 qualification related to ICT or Business Administration or relevant industrial experience and skills.
  • Effective and efficient administration within a busy office environment.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based data recording systems.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Time management.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer Service.
