We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Five Wells, working as a Performing Manufacturing Operations (PMO) Teacher. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week. PMO refers to work-based qualifications and apprenticeships that assess the competence of individuals in various manufacturing sectors.
The successful candidate will deliver training aligned to the Performing Manufacturing Operations (PMO) qualification up to Level 2, covering woodwork, engineering, manufacturing & warehouse. It is essential that the successful candidate holds the following qualifications in order to assess and evaluate the performance of each learner:
- Vocational qualification in delivery specialism
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- TAQA Assessor award/A1 or equivalent

Site Information: HMP Five Wells is a Category C prison that is based in Wellingborough. Built in 2022, and costing £253m, this state of the art prison accommodates a male prison population. HMP Five Wells is committed to celebrating diversity and promoting equality throughout their services. The prison's aim is to make Five Wells a better place to live, work and visit through collaborative working with third party partners, The MOJ and its surrounding communities.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
- Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Vocational qualification in delivery specialism
- TAQA Assessor award/A1 or equivalent
- Track record of creating stimulating, vibrant environments which are conducive to learning and motivational for learners
- Track record of achievement of quality targets
- Track record of producing accurate and timely reports
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and enthuse learners
- Organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets
- Positive team working
