We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Preston, working as a Local Education Manager. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information
HMP Preston is located within the heart of the city centre. The facility is a Category B Male prison that focusses on providing a safe and supportive environment to promote the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders back into society. The team aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe at all times.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Teaching qualification - minimum Cert Ed or PGCE
- Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Developing, leading and managing a team effectively
- Managing colleagues including the deployment of those colleagues and appropriate delegation of tasks
- Implementing and managing continuous quality assurance and improvement procedures
- Successful partnership working
- Effective Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and enthuse teams
- Organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet challenging deadlines and targets
- Analysing trends and identifying impact on curriculum
