We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our established Theatre Technician Team, supporting the operation and delivery of technical services across two vibrant performance venues at our City Campus Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team in a dynamic, creative environment, playing a vital role in facilitating a wide range of performances, events, and productions.

Our City Centre campus is a flagship site in the heart of Manchester, offering cutting‑edge facilities and a buzzing, creative atmosphere. Home to our Centre of Excellence for Creative and Digital Industries, it provides an inspiring setting for both staff and learners, with specialist studios, workshops, and collaborative spaces. With its central location and strong industry links, the campus is a hub for innovation, talent development, and real‑world learning.

Who are TMC?

The Manchester College is the Largest Further Education College in the United Kingdom and has the largest provisions for 16‑19 year olds, adults, and higher education in Greater Manchester. We are part of the LTE group that consists of MOL, Total People, UCEN Manchester, Novus, and LTE Group Operations. We currently support more than 25% of Greater Manchester’s learning provision and are currently rated “Good” by Ofsted.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Level 2 English & Mathematics.
  • Industry relevant qualification as applicable by specialist function.
  • First Aid qualification (or be prepared to work towards within first year).
  • Specific relevant specialist skill.
  • Ability to work as a team or individually.
  • Working to deadlines.
