Technical Theatre & Stage Management Lecturer

The Arden School of Theatre is looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Technical Theatre & Stage Management Lecturer to join our team on a permanent, part-time (17.5 hours per week) basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the training and development of the next generation of theatre professionals in a creative, student-focused environment, and to be a part of our fastlygrowing Technical Theatre & Stage Management Course. We are looking for an LX tutor to module lead and teach the practical and software based LX skills across L4-L6 including supervising the student LX departments on productions. There may also be opportunity'sto Lighting Design a production alongside working with the students. Knowledge and experience working with ETC EOS Nomad, Vectorworks, and various LX desk's including ETC is needed as a minimum requirement. Our main current desk is an ETC Ion Xe.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree
  • Current and valid industry specialism
  • Certificate of education or PGCE
  • English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
  • Significant Experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning
  • Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism
  • Working as a team
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Meet delivery targets and plans
  • Accurate and timely reports and records
  • Positive contribution to planning processes
  • Proven track record of positive student satisfaction
