We have an exciting opportunity to join our People and Talent Team as a HR Advisor on a fixed-term (Maternity Cover), full-time (37 hours per week) basis. This is a hybrid role, based out of our Openshaw campus in Manchester.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CIPD Level 3 or Equivalent workplace experience
  • Demonstrable experience of working within Advisory capacity, ideally in a unionised environment
  • Experience in giving real time HR customer advice and support (on the spot)
  • Experience of coaching managers and providing advice and guidance
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current HR employment law and legislation and ACAS best practice
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  • Commitment to undertake CPD
  • Strong level of interpersonal and communication ability
  • Coaching and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Able to apply sensitivity and discretion whilst dealing in confidential matters
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse data to contribute to improved ways of working
