We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician with several years’ post-qualification experience. The successful candidate will have proven experience working within modern, complex buildings across multiple sites. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical maintenance to support safe and efficient operations across the LTE Group estate. A flexible and professional approach is essential, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. A full UK driving licence is required, as regular travel between sites during working hours is an essential part of the role.

Our Openshaw campus is a vibrant, modern hub of learning, equipped with outstanding, industry-standard facilities designed to inspire both staff and students. Located just outside Manchester city centre, the campus offers a wide range of vocational and academic courses, with specialist spaces for areas such as construction, engineering, health, and digital.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Be qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in an electrical trade related field.
  • Be willing to train in additional maintenance areas.
  • Have Manual Handling training.
  • Have Risk assessment training.
  • Have COSHH training.
  • Have a proven track record of problem solving, fault finding and prioritising works.
  • Have the ability to multitask.
  • Be able to work to Planned Maintenance Programmes.
  • Have previous teaching or commercial building experience.
  • Be able to maintain accurate electronic and paper-based records.
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word & Excel.
  • Be able to work in a team and on your own initiative.
  • Be able to prioritise work.
