Role description

Passionate about food and learning? Join our college as a Catering Technician and help bring our kitchens to life! You’ll work alongside an experienced teacher, supporting practical lessons and inspiring the next generation of culinary talent. From preparing ingredients to setting up professional kitchen equipment, your skills will keep classes running smoothly.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe, organised, and industry-standard training environment. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone with catering experience who enjoys working with young people. We have an exciting opportunity at our City Campus Manchester to join our Service and Retail Industries Department as a Catering Technician on a permanent, full-time, term-time only (35 hours per week over 38 weeks) basis.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Level 2 English & Mathematics.
  • Industry relevant qualification as applicable by specialist function.
  • First Aid qualification (or be prepared to work towards within first year).
  • Specific relevant specialist skill.
  • Ability to work as a team or individually.
  • Working to deadlines.
