We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Altcourse, working as a CIAG Advisor. This role is offered on a permanent Full‑time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information
HMP Altcourse is a category B local prison, receiving sentenced and remand adult male prisoners as well as young offenders. The prison’s aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Hold a Level 4 Information, Advice and Guidance qualification (or work towards in‑post and achieve within 12 months)
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
- Hold a CIAG Qualification.
- Have relevant experience of delivering careers guidance, using guidance tools, conducting assessments and supporting learning of individuals and groups in line with Matrix and Ofsted expectations.
- Have experience of motivating and inspiring disadvantaged individuals to set and achieve ambitious career goals.
- Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to support individuals to realise their goals and continuously improve the service.
