Multi Skills Construction Teacher – HMP Rye Hill Prison
We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Rye Hill, working as a Multi Skills Construction Teacher.
This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.
HMP Rye Hill Prison is a Category C prison that houses adult male inmates.
The prison’s regime, facilities and support services are designed to address the diverse needs of its population, promoting rehabilitation and reducing reoffending rates.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Hold a teaching qualification and, where applicable, a relevant subject specialist qualification – with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months.
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Have experience in creating stimulating, vibrant learning environments that are motivational for learners.
- Have a previous track record showing achievement of quality targets.
- Have successfully produced accurate and timely reports.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Can motivate and enthuse learners.
- Have organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets.
- Demonstrate positive team working.
