We have an exciting opportunity to join our LTE Group as a Portfolio Management Officer (PMO) on a permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) basis. This is a hybrid role working from our Openshaw, Manchester office.
Role Responsibilities
In this influential position, you’ll strengthen portfolio governance, assurance, and reporting across our programmes and projects, ensuring activity aligns with organisational priorities, risks are effectively managed, and benefits are realised for learners, colleagues, and stakeholders. You will be central to maintaining oversight of the Group’s project and programme portfolio, providing high‑quality analysis, insights, and continuous improvement to support decision‑making at the highest levels. From developing robust governance frameworks to championing best practice and driving meaningful improvements, you’ll help shape how we deliver transformation across the organisation.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Experience supporting or managing portfolios, programmes, or projects in a relevant sector (e.g., education, public sector, or commercial environment).
- Experience with portfolio management tools and Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial, operational, and risk data to generate clear, evidence-based recommendations.
- Project or portfolio management certification (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, MoP, APM PMQ) desirable.
