Position Overview:
We are looking for a mission-driven and technically-savvy ESG AI Project Manager to lead and coordinate the development of our next-generation ESG intelligence platform powered by artificial intelligence. This role bridges sustainability expertise with data science and AI product management to deliver high-impact solutions that empower investors, corporates, academias and regulators to make better ESG decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Ownership & Execution
• Lead end-to-end delivery of ESG AI projects, from scoping and prototyping to deployment and scaling.
• Define clear project roadmaps, milestones, and resource plans in collaboration with engineering, data science, and ESG teams.
• Ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives, stakeholder needs, and ESG standards.
ESG Content Integration:
• Translate ESG frameworks (e.g. GRI, TCFD, SFDR, ISSB, UN PRI) into data models and AI-relevant parameters.
• Oversee sourcing, cleansing, and structuring of ESG data (structured/unstructured, public/private sources).
• Collaborate with ESG subject-matter experts to validate materiality and impact metrics.
AI & Data Collaboration:
• Work closely with AI teams to develop models for ESG scoring, sentiment analysis, risk alerts, etc.
• Define model requirements and interpretability needs from an ESG stakeholder perspective.
• Ensure ethical and responsible AI practices in ESG data usage and model deployment.
Stakeholder Communication:
• Serve as the primary liaison between business, ESG, AI/tech, and external partners.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, sprints, demos, and retrospectives.
• Communicate project progress and insights to senior leadership, investors, or regulators.
Compliance & Impact Assessment
• Ensure AI-driven ESG solutions align with current and emerging global regulatory expectations.
• Drive performance evaluation and continuous improvement of ESG AI outputs.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or related fields.
• 3–7 years of experience managing complex projects across ESG and/or AI/data domains.
• Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, sustainability trends, and responsible investment practices.
• Familiarity with AI concepts (e.g., NLP, predictive analytics, LLMs, ESG sentiment modeling).
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Python, SQL, or project platforms like JIRA, Notion, or Asana.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• PMP, Agile/Scrum certification or experience in AI product development is a strong plus.
