The total held in short‑term funds in money markets and UK gilts are of a similar magnitude.

Working under the authority of the LTA Audit Committee, it reviews and evaluates the results achieved by external fund managers, assesses whether investment strategies remain appropriate versus risk profiles approved by respective boards, and offers informed recommendations to help safeguard the LTA’s financial assets. Through its scrutiny and advice, the group helps to ensure that the LTA’s funds are managed responsibly, transparently, and in line with the organisation’s long‑term objectives.
