We are looking for someone with key skills and able to perform the following roles & responsibilities:

  • 5 years+ TV OS software development experience
  • 5+ years in leading Program teams in embedded software space, preferably for the TV industry
  • Experience working with Asia based ODM partners
  • Preferable Experience of supporting US retail TV business
  • Experienced in Coordinating, Planning, CR management, bug tracking (JIRA)
  • Clear and flexible communicator capable of exchanging ideas or summarising technical information with appropriate levels of detail depending on audience.
  • Strong personal organisation skills.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound appreciation of the software life cycle.

What you'll do:

  • Device Software Program Management: Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of s/w releases. This includes defining project goals, timelines, and appropriate resource allocations.
  • TV Hardware Program management: Work with HW teams to develop new TVs partnering with HW and SW teams/partners to deliver a product to launch.
  • ODM, Board Vendors SW Deliveries: Experience working with internal teams, SOC vendors, ODM's, and board vendors to develop E2E device delivery plans taking responsibility for all planning, execution and SW release into ODM or business partners.
  • TV OS: Work with all layers of the SW stack to develop new features for new device launches within for the operating system.
  • Certifications: Work with partners such as Dolby, HDMI, BT sig and ODM partners to ensure certifications are complete and issues raised are rectified with our engineering teams.
  • SW Investigation and resolution: Work with partners and internal teams to contextualise any bugs, understand P0, P1 issues, and understand potential resolutions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration across various device software teams: Working closely with architects, engineers, validation teams, and product managers to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Technical Leadership: Guiding software development life cycle (SDLC) processes, including change control for factory s/w releases, testing, and defect management.
  • Risk Management: Leading risk reviews with Engineering leadership.
  • Apps Partners: Experience working with Apps partners and internal teams to ensure certifications are complete for product launches (Netflix, Youtube, Apple, Prime etc).
  • Portfolio Planning: Develop a portfolio view for a class of device portfolio, develop plans with clear, measurable success criteria, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Using technical judgment to question proposals, test assumptions, and make intelligent trade-offs to ensure project success.
  • Looking for Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices in project management and software development.
