Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate concessions and production permits raised by Manufacturing and Quality teams, assessing technical validity and impact on design intent and product performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, inspectors and shop-floor operators to understand root causes and develop appropriate engineering dispositions.
- Apply strong mechanical design engineering knowledge to determine acceptability of deviations and ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support resolution of production issues by providing timely engineering guidance and design-based decision making.
- Utilize SAP and CAD tools (preferably Creo) to review drawings, part configurations, and associated documentation.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Relevant work experience, of which at least 5 years should be from the aeronautical industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of and ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
Required Skills
- Aerospace experience preferred; exposure to heat exchanger or thermal systems will be considered a strong advantage.
