We are looking for someone with key skills and able to perform the following roles & responsibilities:
- Under minimum supervision, applies functional specifications and uses engineering tools to design hardware, electronic circuits, control systems or algorithms for new development and existing products.
- Uses software tools or applications to analyse and conduct tests on electronics circuits or systems and document performance in comparison with design criteria.
- Identifies the testing requirement at a component, integration and system level with the emphasis on complying with test standards and client Health, Safety, and Environment procedures.
- Generate test procedures, conduct tests and generate reports.
- Performs both engineering calculations and various statistical analysis as required.
- Develop and document process flows, tooling, jigs, fixtures, test equipment, procedures, etc. using appropriate engineering tools.
- Support technology transfer, product support for manufacturing and operations.
- Interacts with suppliers to evaluate technical capabilities, to develop processes to ensure adherence to client quality requirements and to help investigate any technical quality issues.
- Product Line governance and continuous improvement.
- Support the Engineering Change process.
- Promotes and contributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains open lines of communication with all levels of the organization.
Qualification:
- Skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline and 5 years of related experience. Completion of a master’s in electrical engineering or similar discipline is preferred.
Experience:
- Analog and Digital electronics circuit design.
- Evaluation and Testing of electronic systems at all stages of development.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosis of prototype and Production Tools.
- Engineering design calculations and analysis.
- PCB schematics and layout design using Altium software or similar.
- High Temperature and rugged electronics designs.
- PC Software and Embedded firmware / microcontroller programming using C programming.
- Experience with client processes and systems is preferred.
