We are looking for someone with key skills and able to perform the following roles & responsibilities:

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain automation racks for communication devices and Entertainment CPEs.
  • Validate infrastructure setups (continuous) using automation tools.
  • Support remote user access to resources.
  • Design and implement CI pipelines, services, monitoring, and data dashboards.
  • Scale up, implement optimisations, and improve processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user reported infrastructure/I.T. issues.
  • Design, support and oversee new major physical installations.
  • Allocation and patching of copper/fibre lines to user endpoints.
  • Come up with solutions for new technology implementations/ requests from user base.
  • Develop/use collaboration tools and processes to gather, track and document infrastructure requests.

Required skills and experience:

  • Ability to design full rack layouts and testbed architectures based on user and project requirements.
  • Proficient with Draw.io, Lucidchart, Visio, and similar diagramming tools for producing high-quality architecture diagrams.
  • Strong knowledge of OLT and ONT platforms and their operational behavior.
  • Familiarity with Nokia ISAM or equivalent access network systems.
  • Understanding of GPON/EPON concepts, provisioning, and service profiles.
  • Experienced with vCenter, ESXi, VM provisioning, snapshot management, networking, and resource allocation.
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including: VLAN creation, trunking, tagging, Inter-VLAN routing, ARP, DHCP, DNS fundamentals.
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot firewalls, NAT, ACLs, and basic security policies.
  • Solid understanding of routing concepts, including static routing, OSPF/BGP fundamentals, and OSI model.

Advantageous:

  • Hands-on experience performing fiber patching (single-mode/multi-mode) to ODFs, OLTs, ONTs, ISAMs, servers, and switches.
  • Competent in copper patching (Cat5/6/6A) to user endpoints, patch panels, and network equipment.
  • Basic working knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP): - EC2, S3, VPC basics, Identity and access management, Virtual networking fundamentals.
  • Comfortable with packet capture analysis (Wireshark / tcpdump).
  • Knowledge of backup mechanisms, retention strategies, and disaster recovery principles.
  • Experience using and maintaining GL Communications Harmony platform, VQuad and CDROuter environments.
  • CLI/scripting experience (Such as Bash, Python etc).
  • ITIL accreditation or equivalent.
  • CDCTP accreditation or equivalent.
