Salary: Up to £45,000

LT Talent have partnered with a fast-growing beauty and personal care business looking for an experienced Buyer / Procurement Manager to help drive its next stage of growth. This is a commercial buying role focused on finished, branded products – not raw materials or ingredients. You’ll identify new products and international suppliers, negotiate competitive deals and spot buying opportunities that drive margin, profitability and growth. You’ll take ownership of sourcing products and developing international supplier relationships across a growing beauty and personal care portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and onboard new international suppliers, distributors and brand partners
  • Source new products and ranges across beauty, skincare, cosmetics, haircare and personal care
  • Build and maintain strong international supplier relationships
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms and commercial agreements
  • Review supplier price lists and identify profitable buying opportunities
  • Analyse product costs, margins and commercial viability
  • Conduct supplier due diligence and verify supply chains
  • Determine purchasing quantities based on demand, sales and stock levels
  • Monitor supplier performance, availability and lead times
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing terms and profitability
  • Attend supplier meetings, trade shows and industry events when required

Essential:

  • 3+ years’ experience within buying, procurement or sourcing
  • Experience within beauty, personal care, skincare, cosmetics, haircare or a closely related consumer category
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Experience conducting supplier due diligence
  • Understanding of margins, product costs and commercial viability
  • Strong Excel and data-analysis skills
  • Excellent supplier relationship-management skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple suppliers and opportunities
  • Comfortable working independently within a primarily remote environment

Desirable:

  • International sourcing or procurement experience
  • An existing supplier network within beauty and personal care
  • Experience sourcing across Asia, Europe and/or the US
  • Background within a distributor, wholesaler or importer
  • Experience attending international trade shows or sourcing events
