We have a great opportunity for an experienced History Teacher to join our partner secondary school in East London for the 2025/2026 academic year on a fixed term contract covering maternity. Part of inner London, this is a modern, relatively new school with a supportive senior leadership. This is an opportunity for you to work with some extraordinary and aspirational students in a developing area of East London. The school is driven by the dreams, aspirations and ambitions of its students and the wider community.
They are seeking to recruit a History Teacher to cover maternity in a supply role or direct FTC role for the whole of the new academic year. You will be joining a highly motivated and passionate group of staff who work tirelessly in the best interests of the students. Staff development is central to everything the school does and you will receive weekly coaching sessions and a personalised CPD programme which best fits your needs and clear pathways for progression.
This role will include:
- Teaching History to KS3 and KS4
- To have a passion for and expertise in your subject area.
- To plan and deliver lessons which consistently challenge students’ thinking and force them out of their comfort zone.
- To be a reflective practitioner constantly striving to improve your practice.
- To review and develop the curriculum.
- To review and develop the Tracking Assessments.
