Hybrid Working - Two Days Per Week in Coventry

LT Selection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking apprenticeship and adult learning provider. We believe that everyone we connect with an employer positively impacts the further education, skills, and employment sector.

This organisation places people at the centre of everything they do. Their culture is built around listening, support, accountability, and creating an environment where both learners and staff can achieve their aspirations. They believe quality should not feel punitive or transactional — it should create confidence, consistency, and positive learner experiences across the organisation.

This is an opportunity for an experienced quality professional who understands that strong compliance and quality assurance systems are not about creating barriers — they are about protecting learners, supporting delivery teams, and enabling sustainable growth.

The organisation is seeking a Quality Lead (Compliance & Assurance) to take ownership of quality assurance systems, compliance processes, inspection readiness, and regulatory standards across apprenticeship and adult learning provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for quality assurance and compliance across the organisation
  • Ensure provision consistently meets Ofsted, ESFA, DfE, and awarding body requirements
  • Maintain inspection and audit readiness across all delivery
  • Lead Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) processes and standardisation activity
  • Develop and maintain robust quality assurance frameworks and cycles
  • Monitor learner experience, retention, achievement, and progression data
  • Lead Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) and Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs)
  • Manage awarding body and EQA relationships
  • Support delivery teams with clear expectations, guidance, and professional challenge
  • Identify and mitigate quality and compliance risks early
  • Ensure safeguarding, Prevent, and Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) standards are embedded throughout the learner journey
  • Present quality insight and reports to senior leadership and governance teams

Essential Criteria

  • Strong quality assurance and compliance experience within post-16 education
  • Significant experience across apprenticeships and adult skills provision
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted, ESFA, and funding rules
  • Experience leading IQA and audit readiness activity
  • Experience working with awarding bodies and EQAs
  • IQA Qualification (Level 4)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse quality and performance data
  • Experience supporting inspection readiness and regulatory compliance

Desirable

  • Experience across multiple funding streams or provision types
  • Exposure to employer-led or commercial training provision
  • Experience acting as an Ofsted nominee

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently inspection-ready provision
  • Clear, embedded quality assurance systems
  • Strong learner experience and compliant delivery
  • Risks identified early and managed effectively
  • Confidence across delivery teams, leadership, and stakeholders
  • A positive reputation for quality, standards, and learner outcomes

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This is not a “clipboard quality” role. The organisation is looking for somebody who can create confidence across the business — somebody who understands that quality leadership is about balancing standards, support, learner experience, and organisational stability. You will be joining a provider that values openness, collaboration, and professional trust. Staff are listened to, supported, and encouraged to contribute towards continuous improvement and long-term success.

Safeguarding Statement

This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and safer recruitment processes. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
