About the Role:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and resourceful ASF Vocational Tutor to deliver high-quality learning experiences to adult learners enrolled in Level 1 and Level 2 vocational qualifications. This role offers a unique opportunity to support learners on their educational journey while contributing to an agile and forward-thinking team committed to delivering excellence.

Locations: Expected delivery in these areas; Burton on Trent, Tamworth, Swadlincote, Nottingham, Leicester

Vocational Areas: The ideal candidate will possess expertise in specialised vocational areas including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), Education, and Health. This knowledge will be pivotal in delivering tailored and effective training programmes that cater to diverse learner needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive ASF-funded programmes aimed at improving learners' skills and securing positive employment outcomes.
• Deliver a range of Level 1 and Level 2 vocational qualifications, ensuring effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
• Monitor and assess learner performance, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on e-portfolios.
• Provide ongoing information, advice, and guidance to help learners achieve their aspirations and career goals.
• Lead face-to-face and online training sessions, adapting delivery methods to meet diverse learner needs.
• Participate actively in standardisation meetings to ensure consistency in assessment and quality standards.
• Contribute to self-assessment and continuous improvement processes within the organisation.
• Assist with the accreditation of courses and stay up-to-date with curriculum developments.
• Support and motivate learners, addressing personal or emotional challenges to help them succeed.

Key Skills & Attributes:

• Knowledge of effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices to engage adult learners.
• Familiarity with delivering vocational qualifications and working within funding requirements for the Adult Skills Fund.
• Ability to motivate and support learners through challenges and help them achieve timely completions.
• Strong organisational and time management skills to manage your diary effectively.
• Competency in delivering both online and classroom-based lessons.

Education & Experience:

• Essential:
  • CAVA or equivalent assessor qualification.
  • Experience working with learners aged 16 and above in educational or training environments.
  • Proven ability to manage the full learner journey, from initial assessment through to completion.
• Desirable:
  • Teaching qualification at Level 5 or higher.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Familiarity with Ofsted inspections under the current framework.
  • Experience delivering education in various settings, including classroom, online, and one-to-one environments.
