We are supporting a values-driven training provider seeking a Quality & Support Coach to strengthen teaching, learning, and assessment practice across apprenticeship and adult learning provision.
This is a developmental quality role focused on supporting tutors, improving learner experience, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. Rather than curriculum creation, the position centres around coaching, observation, quality assurance, and helping delivery teams reflect and grow.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping ensure learning experiences are effective, supportive, and learner-focused across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out learner portfolio sampling to ensure quality standards and assessment requirements are met
- Provide clear, developmental feedback that supports tutor improvement and confidence
- Monitor learner progress and ensure assessment decisions accurately reflect learner competence
- Observe teaching, learning, and assessment activity across apprenticeship and adult learning programmes
- Support tutors through coaching, mentoring, and reflective practice discussions
- Contribute to tutor 1:1 discussions and development planning
- Support standardisation activities to maintain consistency across delivery and assessment practice
- Assist with sector-specific CPD activities and sharing of best practice
- Identify quality themes, strengths, and areas for improvement across delivery teams
- Support continuous improvement activity through coaching and quality insight
- Quality assure Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) provided to learners
- Promote safeguarding, Prevent, wellbeing, and inclusive practice throughout all quality activity
- Report safeguarding or learner welfare concerns in line with organisational procedures
Essential Criteria
- Experience within quality assurance, coaching, or developmental support within education or training
- Experience delivering and/or assessing apprenticeship or adult learning programmes
- Understanding of Ofsted expectations, apprenticeship standards, and funded provision
- IQA qualification
- Teaching qualification at Level 4 or above
- Relevant vocational or industry qualification at Level 3 or above
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
Desirable Criteria
- Level 2 IAG qualification
- Experience quality assuring careers education or learner guidance
- Experience supporting tutor CPD and standardisation activity
