We’re looking for an enthusiastic Learner Engagement Officer to join a values-driven training provider in Milton Keynes. This is a 12-month maternity cover with a strong possibility of becoming permanent.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be the friendly face of learner engagement—connecting with referral partners, community groups, and individuals to promote adult skills courses, apprenticeships, and training opportunities across the region. If you're motivated, community-minded and have experience engaging with learners, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote courses and learning opportunities to individuals aged 19+ across Northampton and surrounding areas.
  • Develop strong referral partnerships with JobCentres, community groups, local charities, and employer networks.
  • Attend and represent the organisation at job fairs, open days, community events, and partner meetings.
  • Conduct 1:1 and small group information sessions to support learner onboarding.
  • Use CRM/learner management systems to track engagement activity and learner journeys.
  • Work to clear monthly learner start targets aligned to programme funding and contracts.
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum and compliance teams to ensure smooth onboarding and quality referrals.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in learner recruitment, community engagement, employer engagement or similar outreach roles.
  • Excellent communication and people skills – confident and engaging with diverse groups.
  • Highly organised, target-driven and comfortable working autonomously in the community.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel expenses paid).
  • Knowledge of adult education, AEB, or apprenticeship funding.
  • Experience working within the further education, employability or skills sector.
  • Existing relationships with referral partners or community stakeholders in Northampton.
