They are seeking an Animation Lead Tutor to inspire and support learners across animation, games design, digital media and creative production.<\/p>This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced tutor or an industry professional looking to move into teaching. A fully funded teacher training pathway may be available for suitable candidates entering education from industry.<\/p>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>Plan and deliver engaging animation, creative media and digital production lessons.<\/p><\/li>Support learner progression through high -quality teaching, feedback, tutorials and individual learning plans.<\/p><\/li>Deliver practical training in animation, rigging, skinning, modelling and creative production techniques.<\/p><\/li>Promote learner safety, wellbeing, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.<\/p><\/li>Record attendance, academic notes and learner updates accurately using internal systems.<\/p><\/li>Track learner progress and support learners to prepare for assessed end -of -year projects.<\/p><\/li>Use a range of assessment methods and provide clear, timely and constructive feedback.<\/p><\/li>Develop opportunities for cross -department creative projects and collaboration.<\/p><\/li>Support enrichment activity, industry visits, guest speakers and wider learner development.<\/p><\/li>Work towards strong learner retention, achievement and progression outcomes.<\/p><\/li>Undertake training to remain up to date with curriculum, awarding body and sector expectations.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>Essential Criteria<\/h2>Degree -level qualification or equivalent industry experience.<\/p><\/li>GCSE Maths and English at Grade C / 4 or above, or equivalent.<\/p><\/li>Strong knowledge of animation production workflows.<\/p><\/li>Experience using Blender and/or Autodesk Maya.<\/p><\/li>Knowledge of animating, skinning, rigging and modelling.<\/p><\/li>Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects.<\/p><\/li>Drawing, 2D art, concept art or texture creation experience.<\/p><\/li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage learners effectively.<\/p><\/li>Evidence of strong professional practice within a relevant creative or educational setting.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>Desirable Criteria<\/h2>Teaching qualification or experience delivering education or training.<\/p><\/li>Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine animation -to -engine pipelines.<\/p><\/li>Knowledge of 3D modelling, texturing and game asset production.<\/p><\/li>Experience with Blender or Autodesk Maya for 3D modelling and animation.<\/p><\/li>Understanding of creative industry workflow, project pipelines and production standards.<\/p><\/li>Experience supporting young people or post -16 learners.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>What Success Looks Like<\/h2>Learners are engaged, supported and progressing well.<\/p><\/li>Lessons are creative, practical and linked to learner interests and career goals.<\/p><\/li>Learner attendance, retention and achievement remain strong.<\/p><\/li>Feedback is prompt, clear and supports improvement.<\/p><\/li>Safeguarding, wellbeing and learner support are embedded into daily delivery.<\/p><\/li>Learners are well prepared for assessment, progression and future creative careers.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>Benefits<\/h2>Company pension scheme.<\/p><\/li>Healthcare cashback scheme.<\/p><\/li>Bike -to -work scheme.<\/p><\/li>Career development opportunities.<\/p><\/li>Staff social events.<\/p><\/li>Interest -free emergency or career development loans.<\/p><\/li>Free on -site lunches during term time.<\/p><\/li>Fully funded teacher training route available for suitable industry professionals.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>Application Process<\/h2>To apply, please submit your CV for consideration by clicking “I’m Interested”.
