The opportunity
LT Selection is recruiting for an experienced Construction Multi-Skilled Trainer to deliver high-quality practical and theory-based construction training.
You will develop learners’ practical ability, technical knowledge, behaviours and confidence so they can progress into sustainable construction employment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and review engaging practical and classroom-based construction training.
- Deliver multi-trade learning across carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting and decorating, basic brickwork, employability and wider construction skills.
- Embed safe working practices, health and safety, tool use, workplace behaviours and industry expectations throughout delivery.
- Assess learner performance, monitor progress, provide timely feedback and agree clear development actions.
- Maintain accurate learner records and evidence in line with awarding-body, funding and internal quality requirements.
- Support learners with progression planning, employability and readiness for work in the construction sector.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, standardisation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity and inclusion requirements are embedded across all delivery.
- Maintain a safe, well-organised and compliant training environment.
About you
- Experience delivering construction training, tutoring, assessment or coaching to learners.
- Confident delivering practical sessions in carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting and decorating and/or basic brickwork.
- Sound knowledge of construction health and safety, risk assessment and safe systems of work.
- Excellent communication, learner‑engagement and classroom/workshop‑management skills.
- Organised and able to maintain accurate training and assessment records.
- A recognised teaching, training, assessor or IQA qualification.
- Experience working within funded training, employability provision, apprenticeships or vocational education.
- Relevant construction trade qualifications and current industry knowledge.
