Bootle office base | Community delivery across Liverpool | Full time | Up to £32,000 per annum | Two vacancies
LT Selection is recruiting two Employability Skills Coaches for an adult-learning provider. You will help adults aged 19 and over build practical skills, confidence and routes into work or further learning.
The opportunity
The provision is funded through the Adult Skills Fund within the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority area. Programmes last from 15 days to 20 weeks and cover accredited and non-accredited learning. You will work from an office base in Bootle and deliver in community settings across Liverpool.
Your responsibilities
- Plan teaching around initial assessment, individual learning goals and learners' starting points.
- Deliver group sessions and individual support, adapting teaching and assessment to different needs.
- Integrate English, maths, digital and employability skills into learning.
- Help adults overcome barriers such as unemployment, low confidence and additional learning needs.
- Record progress, assessment evidence and reviews accurately through an ePortfolio.
- Provide careers information, advice and guidance, and support progression into work, further study or training.
- Maintain records that meet funding and quality requirements, support retention and achievement, and contribute to inspection readiness.
- Follow safeguarding, Prevent and health-and-safety procedures, promote inclusion and keep your professional knowledge up to date.
What you will bring
- Teaching and assessing qualifications.
- Experience delivering adult or community-based learning and supporting people who face barriers.
- Knowledge of ASF/AEB-funded provision and Ofsted expectations.
- Confidence using ePortfolios and digital learning tools.
- Clear communication, organisation and reliable record-keeping.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community delivery.
- The right to work in the UK. Appointment is subject to enhanced DBS and satisfactory safer-recruitment checks.
