Business Development Manager – Commercial Training

We are recruiting for an established learning and development organisation seeking a commercially minded Business Development Manager to grow its commercial training provision.
The organisation delivers leadership, management and professional-development solutions to employers through qualifications, workshops, coaching, digital learning and tailored programmes.
About the role
You will help employers develop their people through leadership, management and professional qualifications. Taking a consultative approach, you will build strong client relationships, explore organisational goals and skills gaps, and recommend learning solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Working collaboratively with sales, marketing and delivery colleagues, you will develop new business and create lasting employer partnerships across a range of sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities and develop long-term client relationships
- Carry out training needs analysis to identify workforce-development requirements
- Recommend tailored learning solutions, including professional qualifications, leadership programmes and bespoke training
- Prepare and present commercial proposals aligned with client objectives
- Promote the organisation’s commercial training portfolio
- Manage an accurate sales pipeline and progress opportunities effectively through the CRM
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to provide an excellent client experience
