Adult Skills Tutor (Health & Social Care) | Hybrid | Flexible Location in Staffordshire What if we told you… You could change lives from your classroom and your kitchen table? We’re working exclusively with a values-led training provider that’s growing its Adult Skills team — and we’re looking for an inspiring Tutor to deliver short courses in Health & Social Care (Level 1 & 2). This role blends remote teaching with occasional in-person classroom delivery in Burton on Trent, Tamworth, Litchfield, and across Staffordshire, so you’ll enjoy the best of both worlds: flexible working and face-to-face impact. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated ASF Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across short courses for adult learners. This role includes both virtual and face-to-face delivery, focused on vocational qualifications in Health & Social Care. You’ll support learners to gain meaningful qualifications, improve their confidence, and progress to employment or further learning. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, inclusive training across Level 1 and Level 2 Health & Social Care courses Ensure timely marking and provide constructive feedback to support learner progression Support the achievement of performance KPIs including retention and achievement rates Provide advice and guidance to learners on career pathways and progression options Maintain responsive communication to learner queries Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to enhance learner experience Signpost learners to wrap-around support services (e.g. Life & Progress) Core Delivery Responsibilities As a minimum, the tutor will deliver the following qualifications: L1 Award in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children\'s and Young People\'s Settings L2 Certificate in the Principles of Dementia Care L1 Award in Employability Skills It would be advantageous if the tutor is also able to deliver: L3 Certificate in Understanding the Care and Management of Diabetes Qualifications and Experience Essential A minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Qualification (e.g. PTLLS, AET, or equivalent) Hold an Assessing Qualification (e.g. CAVA, TAQA) Qualifications in Health and Social Care Experience delivering Health and Social Care qualifications Comfortable delivering both online and face-to-face sessions Willingness to travel for face-to-face delivery within Staffordshire Experience teaching adults or in post-16 education Confident using digital learning tools and virtual classroom platforms Track record of supporting learner achievement and progression Desirable Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with disadvantaged or hard-to-reach learners Understanding of funded learning provision (e.g. ASF, AEB) Familiarity with Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework Skills and Attributes Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds Effective classroom management skills (virtual and physical) High attention to detail in marking and record-keeping Resilient, proactive, and solution-focused mindset Adaptable and organised, with strong time management Organisational Culture & Values We are committed to developing people and delivering meaningful, high-quality learning experiences.
