We manufacture and supply sustainable building products from ground level right up to the roof ridge, from our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in East Yorkshire. We are looking for a dynamic and driven Area Sales Manager to join our external sales team. This home-based role covers the South East region including Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and Middlesex. Candidates MUST have previous experience selling building products directly to merchants and be based in the region. The ideal candidate will be in a similar role. Reporting directly to the Southern Regional Sales Director, the role will be responsible for the effective day to day management and sales development of their merchant customers.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Be accountable for developing and implementing an area business plan targeting merchants in conjunction with the Southern Regional Sales Director which will align with Timloc's overall commercial strategy.
- Develop and deliver first class business relationships that increase selling opportunities with National or Independent merchant customers.
- Ensure consistent and first-class standards of operation are adhered to at all times (including call plans, CRM reporting, quotes, and pricing etc.) and present them in a timely manner.
- Continually review sales data in order to support commercial activity and identify customer and product opportunities within merchant customers.
- Identify and develop effective and mutually beneficial relationships with groundworkers, brickwork contractors, roofing contractors and dry lining contractors.
- Identify and develop effective and mutually beneficial relationships with Developers at both local and regional levels.
- Visit developer sites to understand current specifications and opportunities for the Timloc product range.
- Ensure merchant customers are fully aware of existing and new products contained within the Timloc product range.
- Offer product training to merchant teams, in branch or via Teams.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong formal and informal presentation skills.
- Ability to work on their own and be highly self-motivated.
- MUST have existing relationships with merchants in the area.
- Effective written and face to face communication skills.
- Negotiation and account management skills.
- Effective time management.
- Good business acumen.
- Conversant with Microsoft Office and Google Maps.
