Senior Manager - Penetration Testing β Fully Remote β Up to Β£100,000 (DOE) The Role My client is looking for an experienced penetration testing leader who combines deep technical expertise with the ability to lead teams, build client relationships and deliver high-quality security testing.
You'll oversee complex penetration testing engagements across government and commercial clients, providing technical leadership, mentoring consultants and helping shape the growth of the practice.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance technical delivery with commercial awareness and client engagement.
This is a fully remote position, with occasional travel to client sites and team meetings as required.
The salary is up to Β£100,000, depending on experience.
What You'll Do Lead penetration testing engagements from scoping through to delivery.
Provide technical oversight and quality assurance.
Mentor, coach and develop penetration testers.
Manage project delivery, budgets and client relationships.
Support business development through proposals and client meetings.
Drive continuous improvement across services and methodologies.
About You You'll have: Extensive penetration testing experience, including CHECK or equivalent government-accredited testing.
Strong knowledge of NCSC and CREST schemes (e. g.
CHECK, x BEST, STAR).
Experience leading technical teams and managing client engagements.
Excellent technical, communication and report writing skills.
A genuine passion for offensive security and helping clients improve their cyber resilience.
Desirable CREST CCT-App, CCT-Inf or CSTL-App certification.
Experience with NCSC assurance schemes, secure environments or security research.
Active involvement in the wider cyber security community.
Requirements CREST CCSAS (or working towards it).
Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC); DV is advantageous.
